Please contact us for a free initial consultation so we can help you determine your best approach.

The services that we offer include:

  • Identifying the numerous and diverse jobs/careers that are available to STEM graduates.
  • Learning what you are passionate about and how to find a career that aligns with your passions.
  • Increasing your nontechnical skills, or “transferable skills,” with volunteer work, internships and/or paid positions early in your training to make you a stronger candidate when you are ready to transition out of academia.
  • Learning what technical and nontechnical skills you already possess, but might not be aware of, that employers value.
  • Using professional social networks (e.g. LinkedIn) effectively to
    1) create your profile so employers/recruiters will find you, and
2)impress people you meet via networking and/or the companies that vet you after you’ve applied for a position.
  • Writing effective resumes that will clearly communicate your skills to an employer.
  • Understanding the purpose of cover letters and showing you best practices for writing them.
  • Articulating your skills (both technical and “transferable”) to an employer in a resume or during an interview.
  • Learning how to effectively network, how to gain confidence in networking and how to use networking to improve your chances of getting a job.
  • Learning how to critically read, understand and respond to a position description to show an employer that you are a competitive candidate for the job.
  • Creating and personalizing your own “elevator pitch” and being comfortable speaking about yourself with other people.
  • Learning interview skills, tips and practice techniques.
  • Negotiating compensation packages.
  • Evaluating which job offer is the best when receiving multiple offers.

If there is something that you need that’s not on this list, please let us know. We’ll be happy to help you with it ourselves, and, if we can’t, put you in touch with other experts who may be better suited for your particular needs.
